The South Dakota 2026 Legislative Session got off to a great start with Governor Larry Rhoden signing his first bill of the session. HB 1044 appropriates funding for the state's Rural Health Transformation Plan. I recognize the importance of quality healthcare in our rural communities and am proud to be part of the process to improve it by supporting this game-changing plan.
The 4th Annual Rapid City Clean Up Day was a great success, thanks to Rapid City Councilman Kevin Maher, Randy Hamburg, Perry Kudrna, and Steve Zellmer, who all joined me at the yard waste site at Fitzgerald Stadium near Post 22 in Rapid City on Friday to lend a hand with the clean-up efforts.
