SD Rep. Mike Derby looks on as SD Gov. Larry Rhoden signs HB 1044 into law

The South Dakota 2026 Legislative Session got off to a great start with Governor Larry Rhoden signing his first bill of the session. HB 1044 appropriates funding for the state's Rural Health Transformation Plan.


I recognize the importance of quality healthcare in our rural communities and am proud to be part of the process to improve it by supporting this game-changing plan.
